It was a dark and stormy night
a fanfic challenge (posted to alt.tv.sentinel)
Okay, I figure we need something to keep us busy until the re-runs start
on Sci-Fi, so here's a little challenge. All entries will be archived at
the Loft, unless you have your own fanfic site. there are no rules about
length or style but the story must include the following:
-
a nasty case of insomnia (a tribute to Op D's current distress *grin*),
you can pick who.
-
a guy in a clown suit
-
a stray kitten (under six months of age), preferably with claws and a very
loud whining voice. most have a home at the end.
-
a blair ouchie (doesn't have to be major)
-
at least one other character gets a boo-boo.
-
someone other than Jim saves the day.
-
a basketball game (non-professional)
-
nothing can happen to jim's truck (any other cars are fair game)
-
an open case (murder, robbery, you pick)
-
a beautiful mysterious woman.
-
and the final rule: it has to start with "It was a dark and stormy night
. . ."
