This installment in the Friday the 13th series is really the one that started the whole Jason Voorhees craze. The drowned little lad by the name of Jason has put a bag over his head and grown up into a homicidal look-alike of the Unknown Comic. As with the other movies in this series, the plot is simply the teenagers at Crystal Lake being sequentially murdered by Voorhees, save maybe for the one who knows Jason the most. In this case, the "smart" one is played by Amy Steel (who also appears in a horror/mystery movie called "April Fool's Day"). Aside from the heroine wearing a sweater which confuses the killer, there is nothing overwhelmingly original here. "Friday the 13th Part 2" is more or less like any other slasher, but its execution is slightly above average and the gore should be satisfactory. Overall, it is decent, one of the better Friday the 13th movies. |

** NOTE: The more dots, the higher the rating. A dozen dots mean that the movie is a masterpiece while one or no dots indicate a movie that might pollute the ocean if you flush it down the toilet. ** |
