WAXWORK II:
LOST IN TIME

There isn't much wax in this one, but there is plenty of time travel, which serves as the premise for spoofing horror movies taking place in different eras. The spoofs are hit-and-miss, with the earlier ones generally faring better than the later ones. The best part of the movie is where Bruce Campbell plays a paranormal scientist in a segment spoofing "The Haunting" and "The Legend of Hell House", and like his Ash character from the Evil Dead series, he's getting hurt in all sorts of comical ways. Like many time travel movies, you could accuse it of not having much of a plot, but "Waxwork II" is all in good fun. See if you can name all the spoofed horror films in this picture.

The bottom line: "Waxwork II: Lost in Time" is a fairly good horror-comedy and recommended particularly for Bruce Campbell fans.

QUARTER BY QUARTER ANALYSIS OF MOVIE

OVERALL RATING

4 out of 12

** NOTE: The more dots on the domino, the more I like it. 12 dots mean that the movie is perfection while no dots means it may actually fertilize your lawn (or kill it). **
