"Zombie Nightmare" is one of those horror movies where a bunch of teenagers in a car run over someone and then get killed one by one as a result of their wrecklessness. "I Know What You Did Last Summer" has a similiar plot; admittedly, that movie is better than "Zombie Nightmare," but that is not saying much since the latter is pretty bad. Why glam rocker Jon-Mikl Thor still has a bigger-than-Godzilla ego after starring in this movie is beyond me, but he certainly has an inordinate amount of self-esteem (Read his messages copied in my NUTS section. Thor is just impossible, and I've heard rumors that he's pissed at me for calling him a nut). Adam West gives a laughable performance as the detective. Try not to mock the way he delivers lines like "Hey, the case is closed. Hey." The acting from one of the teenagers goes way-over-the-top when he argues with his mother and then throws food at her. It's so bad that it's funny. Tia Carrere has seen better days with "Wayne's World," but she does run around in a tight, skimpy outfit (hoowah!) while being chased by the zombie. Saving graces such as Tia, the bad-but-hilarious food fight, and a surprise ending make this bad movie somewhat watchable, though you would do better if you see it via Mystery Science Theater 3000. |

** NOTE: The more dots, the better it is. 12 dots indicates a masterpiece while no dots means it's a "disasterpiece." ** |
