This picture (78k image) is taken on the 3rd floor of the Faculty of
Pharmacy. It's the final instalment of the Cream Team. How did
we get the name? The creative one, Victor, gave the nickname Dream
Team to the keeners who sit in the front row of each class. They
were a "dream team" due to their ability to jot down EVERYTHING that the
professor said in each class. In any instance, the 2001 edition of the
Cream Team won second place at the CAPSI annual compounding competition.
We had to make 4 compounds (liquid, cream, solutions) on a time limit.
Not bad, eh? (We won OPA fee guides for our efforts.)
The 78k picture is the 2000-2001 class council. This is taken outside
of the Faculty Club, right after the Medical Pharmacies presentation.
As you can see, it's a little chilly outside. I thought I would be cool
to go to the presentation without a jacket and wear a shirt and tie with
jeans. (I live next door at New College so not having to wear a jacket
wasn't such a bad thing.)
This is a group picture (94k) of a bunch of us fourth year
students at the annual Indian dinner. It's at a restaurant called
Sangam on Bay and College in downtown Toronto. Food was not
bad-- some people mysteriously got sick that evening and the next
morning. In fact, one student broke out in a very odd rash... Is
it coincidence or something they ate at the restaurant? Nothing
concrete but I would advise them not to eat there again! (If you're
still looking at the picture, I'm somewhere in the back, if you
care that much at all...)
A (84k) picture of the winning team-- (l-r) Dora, myself, Rashna.
We won the CAPSI poster competition and here we are accepting our
award at the CSHP (Canadian Society of Hospital Pharmacists) Awards
Night at the Delta-Chelsea Hotel. Our winning entry was based upon
a fictitious congestive heart failure case. It was a heated
battle among three teams in our class. Guess our team was lucky
and we pulled off a narrow win. Our prize: a free trip to this
year's PDW (profession development weekend) in sunny Saskatoon,
Saskatchewan in the middle of winter! (Aside: I did not ask to
have the corsage placed on my lapel-- it was given to me.)
