A common sight during exams-- Gurinder studying, on his bed, just
before walking over to the exam hall. I believe we were about to head
over to the UTS gym to write our final pharmacy exam, professional
practice. By this time, (this was our 6th exam), the desire to study
was at an all-time low. Most were not taking this exam seriously. I
have to admit, I didn't take this exam too seriously (nor many of the
other exams this December) but somehow I managed to pull off an A- in
the course. The other classes, however... I did not do so well...
For those interested, G always pulls off big-time marks when he
studies at the last minute... IF he gets enough sleep.
After the professional practice exam, many of us walked over to
the Madison to have our end-of-semester bash. Before our mini-room
was available, a few of us ducked into one of the vacant, unattended
rooms on the main floor. Here is a picture (before all the
imbibing of alcohol) of myself (r) and Farah (l). She's in good
spirits for she went home first with her clique of friends and
drank like fish!
An overview of the evening. I'm kinda wondering what Vic Ho
(in the centre) is thinking. Dora is in good spirits. Perhaps
she doesn't see the stalker behind her... not to worry, she's in
a well-lit place with friends and me keeping an eye out for her.
In the back, Awais (in the white turtleneck) has a peculiar look
to his face.

A little later in the evening-- people have had a few drinks
and were in the swing of things. It was a very popular night at
the Madison. It appears that every nearby company had their
staff Christmas party that day. We managed to book a room.
In the back-- take a look at Faisal. He's looking awfully
hungry!
After the Madison, a few brave souls ventured to Einstein's.
By the time G and I arrived, there were a few dry pitchers
around the table and a few more were coming. I did learn a couple
of drinking games while I was there-- one included dice and the
other required a lot of math (3s and 5s). When I took this photo,
before I left, it was getting ugly. As you can see, Amy has a
handful of Mark. I'll leave it at that...
G and I were brave enough to battle the elements after the
Madison and go over to a nightclub called Tonic. It
wasn't the wait that bothered me (we were in the VIP line no
longer than 5 minutes) but the cover-- of course it had to be
ladies' night (they were free) but guys had to shell out $10!
Whatta rip off! However, my years in Toronto has educated me
on this disparity. It was a good time. Afterwards, the four
of us (Rashna, Dora, Alka, and I) walked up Spadina. I got me
some of my favourite eats-- BBQ pork at Kom Jug Yuen. (The
best BBQ shop in all of Chinatown!)
