Briannas Perfect Prom Part Four

As Brianna and Paul arrived at the next destination, she noticed that their clothes had changed.
"This is a different dress than what I had on before." Brianna said. "Good thing too cause I would have a lot of explaining to do."
"We could have called it hair dye gone wrong." Paul said who was also in a new tuxedo. They stood outside a large high school. "Okay where are we?" Paul looked around at the scenery, there were several large cars. "Or when are we I mean."
Brianna studied the scenery."I'd say we were in a fifties prom judging by the size of the cars. There is even one that looks like our caddy gift back home." Brianna smiled. "I wonder who got the idea for that." She mused to herself.
"Okay we got the time, all we need is the movie." Paul said as they walked to the gym. They passed by a car which contained a very uncomfortable scene. It seemed as though the girl was trying to make first move on the guy. The guy was very resistant. He seemed familiar.
"Uh I don't think this is a good idea." He said. His voice was also familiar.
"Michael J Fox." Brianna said. "This is Back to the future." They eased away from the car.
"Why is he so nervous? First prom?" Paul asked.
"You don't seem to know this movie." Brianna determined. "Marty McFly ends up in the past of his parents by using a time machine. But things go wrong, his own mother falls for him instead of his dad." Paul raised an eyebrow. "I know. Weird. But thats not the only thing, he has to make sure his parents are together at the end of the night or otherwise the future is altered forever."
"He wouldn't exist." Paul said now understanding. "What can we do?"
"Stop this before it goes too far." Brianna moved toward the car but saw that Biff, the big "enemy" of the movie has already interuppted. "We're too late."
"I'd say." Paul agreed. "I was pretty hinky about getting involved anyway. Doesn't everything work out anyway?"
Brianna thought for a moment. "Yes."
"Then lets not get involved unless we have to." He takes her hand. "You still owe me a finished dance."
"But wait, we are not part of this class. Just one look at us and they wil be able to tell we don't even belong in this time period."
"Not to worry, theres gotta be a back way in. We can have fun and stay out of sight." He smiled. Brianna smiled back and let Paul lead her into the back of the building.

Paul led her to an area near the back door, in case they have to leave quickly, to dance in. The gym was deocorated in a manner that related to the theme of the prom "Enchantment Under The Sea". A band was playing some music onstage. Paul took Brianna in his arms and they danced. A new song started to play as they did so. "Earth angel."
"We musta jumped forward in the movie a bit." Brianna said.
"I guess it took longer to get back here than I thought." Paul said as he twirled Brianna. "If I can complete one dance with you, I will be happy."
"Me too." Brianna agreed. "All that running is tiring!" Brianna was then turned by Paul in a way so she could see the stage. Marty was playing guitar with the band now but was having trouble. Her attention was diverted by a guy who was trying to take Lorraine away from George. He forcibly tried to get her to dance with him. Brianna inched forward but was stopped by Paul.
"Look." He pointed. Martys dad decked the offending geek and continued to dance with her like nothing ever happened. Brianna sighed with relief. She looked at the stage and saw that Marty had recovered from whatever the heck was happening to him. He even got on the mike to announce he was playing a song.
"Can we make a request?" Paul asked.
"I don't think so." Brianna laughed. "Though I would love to see if they knew any Cheap Trick." She added knowing the real Elijah Wood was a big fan.
Instead Marty played Johnny B Goode. Paul took Briannas hand.
"Paul, I don't know how to dance this way, or this fast!" Brianna said as they started to move.
"Thats ok. Make it up as you go along." He said as he swung her along in a littler circle. He pulled her loose then swept her across the floor. He dipped her when the music stopped suddenly. Brianna looked around at the dancers as Marty stood on the stage, a little embarresdly.
"But your kids will love it!" He apologized.
Brianna and Paul laughed.
"The weird thing is he's right." Brianna said. "Shall we go?"
Paul helped Brianna to her feet. "Let's." They walked around the corner of the gym into a dark hallway. With a few clicks of the time gadget they were instantly gone.
