VIGGO Mortensen is in final negotiations to star opposite Sandra Bullock in 28 Days for Columbia Pictures. Directed by Betty Thomas, Days follows the recovery of a big-city newspaper columnist (Bullock) who is forced to enter a drug and alcohol rehab centre after getting a traffic ticket for driving under the influence. Mortensen will play a fellow rehab patient who is one of the people that make an impression on Bullock's life during recovery. Elizabeth Perkins stars as Bullock's sister. Mortensen stars next in A Walk On The Moon a.k.a. The Blouse Man. His other credits include Gus Van Sant's Psycho, A Perfect Murder, Portrait Of A Lady, G.I. Jane and Crimson Tide.
