Alright here's a list of words used in my great story! I got most of them out of a dictionary so I wrote down the definitions for them as well.
Acacia: Thorny Tropical Shrub
Aconite: Poisonous Plant
Aegis: Shield given by Zeus that protects
Boreas: North Wind
Calyx: Covering of a bud
Capiz: Jewelery
Chaff: Wothless Matter
Chaste: Pure modest and virtuous
Cenaria: Plant ofaste family
Eringo: Genus of plants
Fragaria: Strawberry Plant
Jacinth: Red-orange precious stone
Kauri: New Zealand pine tree
King Yokel: Yokel means rustic
Princess Colibri: Colibri is a type of humming bird
Princess Kara
Scepter: Royal staff
Scoria: Slag
Selah: Word in Psalms-musical direction
Sibyl: Peagan prophetess/witch
Sidereal: Relating to the stars
Silvan: Wooded or rural
Valerian: Flowering Herb
Wapiti: Large Deer
Wistaria: climbing plant
Most of these are names in the story.
I thought that it would be neat to have each name mean
something that sort of relates to their character.
However, considering the fact that this story has not been published yet,
you probably have no idea who these characters are unless
of course you have telopathic powers!

The Disappearing Act
"What do you propose we do?" Zephyr asked as he and Princess Kara walked in the woods.
"We wait and see what Selar can find out."
"But what if..."
"Zephyr, we can't live in a world of 'what ifs'. As I said before, we wait and see."
"Forgive me, I was merely considering the possibilities." Zephyr casually put his arm about the princess' shoulders, pulling her closer to him. He shuddered slightly as the aroma of her hair overcame his senses.
In a moment without thought, Zephyr took hold of Kara's shoulders, stopped and turned her to face him.
"What is it Zephyr?"
Slowly he cupped her chin in his hand and raised her face upward. Then as their eyes locked, their heads moved closer together.
Just as their lips were about to touch, a light came from the sky above. The light cut right through the clouds and down in between Kara and Zephyr, separating the two from each other.
"Zephyr, help me!" Kara cried out as she was flung against a tree by an unseen force.
"Kara!" Zephyr moved towards his princess but she could not be reached. The tree she had hit was opening and Kara was being pushed into the opening by another unseen force.
As Zephyr reached the tree only Kara's outstretched arms were visible. "My Princess!" He cried as he grabbed for her hands, but they too had now disappeared within the tree, and the opening had forever been closed.
