Summary
Liam O'Rourke comes for MacLeod's head. He kidnaps
Amanda and Joe, and he offers MacLeod an exchange: Their lives for his.
MacLeod agrees, but Methos saves him at the last moment and MacLeod
escapes, only to get shot and die on a railroad car. In a dream, Fitzcairn
shows MacLeod what the world would be like without him. Amanda becomes
evil, killing her husband for his money. The Watchers, under James Horton,
become a death squad bent on destroying the immortals, and they kill
Amanda. And Joe Dawson loses hope, hiding from Watchers and immortals,
letting the disaster continue unchecked. No matter what MacLeod says to
convince his friends otherwise, he finds he cannot change what has
happened.
