The Edge
When the trailers came out for this and said "Academy Award Winner Anthony
Hopkins," Deb and I always followed it with "Man Who will Never Win an Academy
Award Alec Baldwin." There were some moments in this David Mamet written movie,
though, where Alec actually shows that he can act. He still, however, gets blown off the
screen by Hopkins. Billionaire Hopkins is stuck in the middle of nowhere with Baldwin,
photographer of Hopkins' supermodel wife (Elle MacPherson). Hopkins knows Baldwin has the
hots for his wife and fully expects Baldwin to try to kill him. But Baldwin needs Hopkins'
smarts to survive. Worth seeing if only to hear Anthony Hopkins say
"motherfucker." Twice. |
