page. The best way to describe my
taste in movies is... well, I'm not sure. I
like action movies, but not all action
movies. I have a dry sense of humor, but
can also fall over laughing at something really
slapstick (The Catzilla scene in Mouse Hunt, for
example). I'm a sucker for a good heart
wrenching moment, but I'll sniff out a shameless
calculated tug at the heartstrings in a
nanosecond. I like indie films, but a lot
of them suck, too. The bottom line is, I
try to keep an open mind about everything.
(Though, in fairness, I'll leave it to Deb to review the
chick flicks) Like the Desert Island

Desert Island Videos
list as well, just in case I get stranded on a
uncharted island with a VCR, a TV, and
electricity. Hey, it could happen. You'll notice that this list will not exactly match Gene Siskel or Roger Ebert's list. I'm human. I have guilty pleasures galore, and I can't stand Mike Leigh's movies. The only movie critic I trust is The Regular Guy on WXRT here in Chicago.
