Albums
- 1) The Lightning Seeds - Dizzy Heights
This band always had a knack for a hook, but this album takes it to the
next level. The hooks just don't stop. No matter where you are, the sun is always shining
when this album is playing.
- 2) Radiohead - OK Computer
This one took a few listens, but then out of nowhere all of these great
songs came gushing out of the walls. Arguably the best British band around, which is no
small compliment considering I had pegged them as one hit wonders after Creep.
- 3) Ben Folds Five - Whatever and Ever Amen
They made the jump to the majors and didn't miss a beat. Worth it solely
for Selfless, Cold and Composed.
- 4) Supergrass - In It For The Money
A Britpop band that has been passed over Stateside in favor of Oasis.
But they're better than that. A smart mix of early and late '70s glam and pop, with a
little punk thrown in. For Anglophiles only.
- 5) Duran Duran - Medazzaland
Yes, I'm biased, but this album was better than you would think. The
boys may be down, but they are not out.
- Honorable Mention: Love Spit Love -Trysome Eatone
Richard Butler hasn't been this solid in over a decade.

Zippers, though this technically came out in 1996.
