About me
I was born and raised in Seoul, Korea until I was 20 years old.
Then I came to the USA to study, and met my husband, a Japanese Brazilian.
I married him in December 1999.
(A marriage between a Korean woman and a Japanese Brazilian man does not happen a lot.)
* I did not change my last name, Kim (what else?), because Korean women don't change their last names, even after the marriage.
One good thing about marrying a foreigner is that he never complain about my cooking.
He assumes, "it must be right."
My husband is a good cook himself.
In the future, I might have his Brazilian recipes (fusion dish) corner on this website.
My dog, Handol (one stone or Einstein in German) is eight years old, and he is from Korea, too.
He came to the USA with me in Jan, 2000.
He did not understand any English, so my husband had to learn Korean.
My husband often asks me seriously, "Can you interpret this to Handol?"
Ya, right...
Handol is becoming bilingual.
Handol, the multicultural dog
(You guessed it right. I groom him myself.)
I start building this website because I thought there are enough people out there who want to cook Korean food.
(Korean adoptees, half Koreans, second and third, even forth generation Koreans, people who lived in Korea before, people whose significant others are Koreans.. and so on.)
Have fun with Korean cooking, and don't forget to say "Ma Ni De Sae Yo!"
