DYA was founded in 1966 by Dr. Usparicha in the city of Bilbao, and who better than our founder to tell us why DYA was founded

Thirty one years is a long way, to some it looks like a whole life, but to us it seems as if it was yesterday when reunited a group of friends and family members, we screamed, "it is enough, Stop and help, but..., do it in the right way"!, and not doing as it has been done up to then. In those days a victim of a traffic accident was transported to hospital in any vehicle and in any way, not even one victim was transported in an ambulance. Since January 1966 the help offered to the victims of traffic accidents changed completely, it became Humane, Methodical, Dignified, Fast, Efficient and Professional. If since the day it was founded DYA has helped to save just one life, then we have accomplished our objective towards society.
