HOW TO FEED A HUNGRY CHILD
Simply go to the home
page and click on "YES! I'LL SAVE A CHILD" to link to
the UNICEF secure on-line donation site. You can enter your
credit card details for a donation as little as US$10.00. If you
prefer, you can print out the donation page and mail a donation.
Your donation should be tax deductible in your country.
IMPORTANTLY every cent of your donation goes to UNICEF and
mindwave© receives no royalties, fees or
commissions. When you make a donation, please mention you've come
from mindwave.© That way we'll know how much has been
raised. (return to top)
THE
MINDWAVE GALLERY Because it takes a lot of time and effort to create a web page, mindwave© has compiled a collection of animated GIF's (moving pictures) icons, buttons and lines. Also included are the fabulous music files used throughout the site and links to sites where you can download shareware and demo software free of charge. (return to top) |
MUSIC
Many pages have music
attached to them for those computers with sound cards. Simply
click on the speaker to hear the stereo hi-fi midi files. A
pop-up menu will then appear. To stop the music click on the X. Clicking the - will close the pop-up menu and allow the music to keep
playing while you read the information. If your sound card and
speakers go out of tune due to starting & stopping music half
way through, simply play the reset.mid file located in the
Jukebox. These midi files have been sourced from public domain
sites on the internet. If you find music that is copyrighted,
please e-mail evidence of copyright to mindwave© and it will be removed. To maximise
Netscape, we suggest you download the Crescendo plug-in from the
mindwave© gallery. (return to top)
VIEWING PAGES
If you are using
Windows 95, set your monitor to millions of colours as follows.
Click on... START then SETTINGS then CONTROL
PANEL, DISPLAY, SETTINGS, TRUE COLOUR 24 BIT.
Are you waiting forever for pages to load? You don't have to!
Mindwave© is designed so all the text loads
almost immediately before the graphics start to build. But you
can read the text while the graphics load. So don't wait! Start
scrolling and reading right away. The graphics will load while
you read. Use the 'forward' and 'back' buttons at the top of your
browser. If you can't view the entire screen on your monitor, you
can move up and down the page by clicking on the small black
triangles on the right of the screen. (return

BROWSERS
As this site uses java
and frames, it is best viewed with Netscape version 3.0 or
Microsoft Explorer version 3.0. You'll discover how to download
these browsers free of charge in the mindwave©
gallery. Sometimes you may notice grey blocks appear on your
screen, or things appear to be missing. If this happens, make
sure your browser is Java and Javascript enabled. In Netscape
select Options then Network Preferences, then languages. Here
make sure you tick Java and Javascript. For Microsoft Explorer
goto View, Options, Security and select all active content
choices. (return to top)
THE HALL OF FAME
Mindwave© wouldn't be possible without all the
people and businesses that have helped make it a reality. You'll
find these heroes listed here along with links to their web
sites! (return to top)
WHEN TO VISIT
Until December 30 1997, the
mindwave© site will be beta tested to verify
links, improve site design and incorporate feedback from people
like you! During this time the entire mindwave© mindware©
archive can be viewed. Then from launch December 31 1997 two topics
will be featured each month, the 1st from the start to the middle
of the month, the 2nd from the middle of the month to the end of
the month. We suggest you bookmark this site now and tell your
friends to visit the site whilst the mindwave© mindware© is
available without wait.
Mindwave© is located 'downunder' in Australia. As
speed is a design priority for this site, slow operation will be
due to congested links across the pacific. If any internet
service provider would like to donate a mirror site on other
continents, please let us know! (return to top)
PRINTING PAGES
Click the cursor in the
frame of information you want to print, then click the print icon
at the top of your browser's screen. This is the third icon from
the right on both Netscape Navigator and Microsoft Explorer. The
printed mindwave© mindware© can
then be copied provided the copyright notice and web address
www.mindwave.com.au is prominent. Mindwave© mindware©
cannot be sold or reproduced for commercial purposes unless with
the express written permission of mindwave©. (return
