Reiki Branch/School Information
This web page is designed to acquaint you with the many branches or schools of Reiki. It is a reference tool for Reiki practitioners as well as a great source of information for those who haven't taken Reiki and want to know more. In 1996, we wrote an email to the Reiki Whidbey list about all the different branches of Reiki that we knew of at the time. This webpage contains updated information from that post. Since 1996, the varieties and styles of systems being called Reiki 'this or that' has been growing everyday; it seems that many new Reiki Masters want to be a 'founder, grandmaster, or great grandmaster' of their own system. We honor Usui Sensei's original Reiki Ryoho and have decided not to continue adding newly-created Reiki systems to our pages. We will continue to update these pages as new information becomes available about the Reiki branches listed. Enjoy!
