Medical Articles about opioids and their use as a treatment of Depression, Bipolar Disorder and other psychiatric conditions
I was fortunate enough to come into possession of these articles through an Internet friend. There are so many stories I have encountered on the Internet where people have used opiates to medicate themsleves for a variety of reasons. These articles show that the scientific community has been aware for many years of the possibility of treating psychiatric disorders with opiates, but it has been a closely guarded secret.
They also give insight into the post-withdrawal syndrome, where addicts suffer major depression during and after withdrawal from opiates.
The copies I received were photocopies, perhaps photocopies of photocopies, Odus? My scanner was unable to resolve the scanned images into text, so I have been typing the articles out. If there are any mistakes I would much appreciate it being brought to my attention.
In order to get the bulk of the articles online for your information I have left out tables and references; these will be added soon. If you read an article and desperately want to see the references or tables e-mail me and I will prioritize them.
If there are any medically trained people out there reading these I would be VERY, VERY GRATEFUL if you could take the time to translate some of these for the many readers out there (me included) who are going to have great difficulty appreciating the finer points of these papers (some major points too I'm sure). Please drop me a line if you can help.
