Poor leadership. The actions and attitudes of EMS leaders can either increase or help alleviate the stress of EMS providers.

Inadequate rewards. Recognition for a job well done is rare; however, criticism for mistakes is frequent.

Offensive policies. Many organizational requirements are viewed as threatening or unreasonable.

Excessive paperwork. The need for duplicate forms for every EMS transaction is often questioned.
