Cosmetic rehabilitation

a 34 year old male had a cosmetic problem which was not orthodontically treatable due to advanced age. Here was some innovation tried out successfully.

Replantation
a young adolescent received a blow to his face which knocked out his front central incisor (avulsed tooth). Attempt was made to replant the tooth and maintain it with a wire and acid etch resin splint and allow reattachment. Click for the whole story!

Cast-core ceramic restoration

a young doctor who fractured his central incisor had little hope for salvaging the same. Yet, determined efforts were made with gingival retraction and crown lengthening procedure and a cast core buildup to give a lasting ceramic crown and a smile!

Surgical Vestibular extention
a heavy anterior (labial) frenum and muscle attatchment made denture wearing difficult for this gentleman in sixties. A planned surgical procedure for vestibular extension was carried out to increase the depth of the vestibule and for better retention. (PRE-PROSTHETIC SURGERY)

Esthetic Maryland bridge

a lost lateral incisor often presents a challenge to provide a truly esthetic replacement. Also it feels criminal to damage the neighbouring two 'natural' teeth in the process of providing a fixed bridge. Here is a Maryland type of esthetic bridge constrution without much damage to them.

What does one do to design a better smile for cases like this young wanna-be model?
Detailed examination revealed a lot of gum exposing in a smile and some poorly made anterior crowns. Was the problem solved?

A Post-onco-surgery Rehabilitation
A CA involving the maxillary jaw, sinus and extending upto cavernous sinus was surgically treated with maxillary hemisection. Post surgically the rehabilitation was done with a maxillary prostheses with OBTURATOR to fill the defect and give support to collapsed face and assist mastication.
