Once upon a time, I entered the Site Fights as
a competitor. And was it ever a wonderful
experience! I made many new friends, and when it ended I was invited to join DRealm of the
Fairies. For a little more than a year you could find me sprinkling magic dust as
Fairy Isis of DQueen's Pharoahs.
But, just like the seasons, this particular adventure would not last forever.
The winds of change came blowing through the ranks, and there were those who decided
it was time to strike out on their own. And sadly, one of them was my own team leader. So
I gave it all a lot of thought and came to the conclusion that The Site Fights was still where I
belonged. With DBlessing of DFairy Star, I decided to join DPets as DSquirrely Fairy.
What do squirrels and fairies have in common, you ask? Why, a great sense of humor and
fondness for silliness, of course! While we take our Duties very seriously, spreading DSpirit
really requires a very light touch. Since squirrels are an important part of my real life
(we even share our home
with one and all the squirrel graphics here are of her) and I spend so much time around them,
it wasn't hard to see the connection. All we
needed was a pair of wings and a couple of Spirit Sticks and we'd be in business.
Since we now had some to spare:
getting off the ground was a piece of cake.
Oh my! Would you look at this? Thank you, dear DFairy Star and Lady Daisy! What a truly
wonderful surprise! (Awarded 9/4/2000)
(Click on the graphic to go to my page of beautiful congratulations.)
I was also interviewed and you can read it here.

Time sure does fly when you're having fun!
After four years with The Site Fights, other responsibilities grew to the
point where there was no longer enough time to do justice to this activity, so as of January 1,
2002, DSquirrely Fairy hung up her wings, packed away her dust, and retired. Despite the
excitement of the wildlife adventures that laid ahead, it was still a hard decision to make.
This is a truly wonderful group of people who would be sorely missed (though a surprise visit
from time to time would not be so surprising!)
There's still plenty to do here, though. Why not have a twirl around one of the Site Fights
rings below?
