Club Rainbow is the first organisation of its kind in Singapore whose mission is to provide emotional, financial and informational support to families of children with major chronic life threatening illnesses. Together with the Childrens' Cancer Foundation (CCF), it jointly organises Camp Rainbow annually. CCF was formed in 1992 by a group of volunteers to provide support and address the needs of young patients with childhood cancer and their families. To date almost 200 children and their families have benefitted from their services. Some of their activities include counselling, play therapy, support groups and many others including Camp Rainbow. Camp Rainbow is a medically supervised 3-day adventure camp for children between the ages of 5 and 14 years who suffer from chronic and terminal illnesses. It allows the children a chance to go camping, interact, play hard and experience new things among others. |
