Reconcile

This song happens to have been Dave Matthews first version of Bartender. I happened to like the way he flowed it together with Don't Drink the Water. As I was sitting in the studio preparing to record my album I decided to lead into my version of DDTW with this song.

Pick Yourself Up

This song is the first I wrote when I moved back to NY. I recorded it at home in my living room one day with the intent of writing a few more and going to a studio. I still haven't made it to the studio but I have written and recorded about fifteen other songs since then. Look for those here in the near future.

The following songs are not available for download however I have included the stories behind them

font color="blue" size="5">Rome's on Fire

This particular song was written after my experience at Woodstock 1999. My good friend Ben Cappel and I both decided to attend after it was already underway. The song Rome's on Fire relays my personal reflection of the events that transpired that weekend in Upstate New York.

Redemption

This song meant a lot to me to record. It deals with the feelings I had for one of my best friends. One day I let her know that I felt more than friendship. When she rejected me I was filled with spite and anger I decided we could never be friends. Later as I looked at myself in the mirror I came to a realization that what I really wanted wasn't Redemption but Forgiveness for my selfish attitude. I hope some day she gets to see this and hear the song because she'll know exaclty who she is.

The main influence behind the song was actually a bottle of wine...Le Goat Blush from Bully Hill...The chorus actually comes straight off the bottle. Click Here to read the whole story behind Goat!

At the time I happen to be playing in a small bar in DeLand, Florida called The Smoke N' Cellar, where they served a NY wine. I was rather homesick and grew to truly appreciate the stuff.

Another thing I would like to point out is that this song is a tribute to the style of DMB.

Check out the wine that influenced the song "Goat," just click here to be magically transported to the Bully Hill Winery website.

I happen to be messing around with the chords to this song and created a new intro for it. I liked the way it sounded so much I decided to record it. My last day in the studio my good friend Dave Thomas showed up with his harmonica. I couldn't resist having him play on here. His eerie revely adds something I would have never though possible.

UPINYA

This song was the first one I wrote with the intention of including on this album. I happened to write it with my current band in mind. The whole idea is we're trying to bring that great feeling we get from playing, "Up-In Ya."

Water to Wine

This song comes off of the Dave Matthews Live at Red Rocks Album, it is just a short little piece he used as an outro/intro from Recently to Lie in our Graves. I really liked it.

G Thang

This is just a little intro song I wrote while I playing Open Mic nights at a couple of bars in Florida. I like to warm up a little and this song provided just that.

Eire

Eire reflects the expression of feelings and emotions I have for a part of my heritage, Ireland. I wrote this song while I pondered myself. It relays much about my personal aspirations.
