Stuffed Mushroom Caps

Ingredients:

1 pound medium mushrooms
1 small onion, finely chopped
1/4 cup crab meat,finely chopped
3 Tblsp butter
1 1/2 cups bread crumbs
1/2 tsp salt
1/2 tsp dried thyme leaves
1/4 tsp tumeric
1/4 tsp fresh ground pepper

Cut the stems from the mushrooms and finely chop enough stems to yield 1/3 cup. Cook, stirring, the chopped mushroom caps, onion and crab meat in 3 Tblsp butter until tender, about 5 minutes; remove from heat. Stir in the bread crumbs, salt, thyme, tumeric and pepper.

Spray the bottom of a baking dish with butter flavored Pam. Fill the mushroom caps with the stuffing mixture and place mushrooms filled side up in the baking dish. Bake uncovered at 350°F for 15 minutes. Move mushroom caps to within 4 inches of the heating source and change temperature to 550°F, continue baking for 2 minutes. Remove and serve hot.
