Cornflake Candy

Recipe from the Candy Cookbook, 1966.

Ingredients:

2 (6 oz) packages semi-sweet chcolate chips
1 (6 oz) packages butterscotch pieces
6 chups cornflakes

Melt chocolate and butterscoth pieces in heavy saucepan over low heat, or over hot but not boiling water. Mix until smooth and well belnded. Add Cornflakes, stirring until well blended, crushing the conflakes slightly as you stir. When the cornflakes are well coated, shape tablespoon fuls into mounds on waxed paper. Let stand at room temperature until firm and thoroughly cooled. Yield 3 1/2 dozen. Keep well in refirgerator.
