Chocolate Bourbon Pie

Ingredients:

Filling

1 9-inch chocolate crust, unbaked
2 squares bitter chocolate
3 tbsp. Butter
3 eggs, well beaten
½ tsp. Salt
1 cup light corn syrup
4 tbsp. Bourbon whiskey
whipped cream
grated chocolate

Combine chocolate squares and butter in the top of a double boiler over very hot water to melt. Stir constantly till melted and blended. Remove double boiler from heat.

In a separate bowl, combine beaten eggs, salt, and corn syrup. Gradually blend chocolate mixture into egg mixture. Stir in bourbon and blend thoroughly. Pour into chocolate crust. Bake at 375° oven 35-45 minutes. Let cool. Top with whipped cream and garnish with grated chocolate.

Chocolate Crust

1 box (8½ oz.) or 1½ cups chocolate wafers ½ cup butter, melted

Crush wafers with rolling pin in plastic bag or in waxed paper. Slide into mixing bowl. Blend in butter. Pat mixture into a 9-inch pie pan.
