LINKS
Here are some of my favorite links:
FOOD
All you cooks out there must already found the Bon
Appetit/Gourmet page, Epicurious. You can find recipes for anything
there...and lots of them. Here's one of my favorite
shopping sites, EthnicGrocer.
This is my friend, John's dining
column in the Rocky
Mountain News. Chocolate and Zucchini is
my favorite food blog and the first blog I ever joined.
Here's a link to Slow
Food Boulder, the group I belong to that celebrates passion for
food, life and pleasure.
My absolute favorite chocolate is Leonidas.
It's from Belgium and is amazing! As always, I love the dark chocolate
the best, with the white chocolate "pralines:", which is there
specialty, coming in as a secret favorite (it's not truly chocolate
after all). Luckily, I believe they come in every assortment. I used
to make Belgian co-worders bring it back for me, but thankfully you
can now order it in the USA! FUN
Here are some sites for a few of the hot springs
I like to visit. Strawberry
Park Hot Springs, Cottonwood
Hot Springs and Valley
View Hot Springs.
I love Puffins and here's a place where you can download
a Puffincam. It's
not always up or working properly, but when it is I get
a kick out of working with birds squacking in the background.
OTHER
Rocky Mountain
Wildlife Conservation Center is close
to my heart. They save large animals, mostly large
cats, from a life of abuse and neglect. They have had
a really tough time in 2005-2006 and really need your
help. Please consider helping these amazingly beautiful
animals.
Here's a link to the home page
of one of my favorite musicians, Michael
Tomlinson. His music is a mix of wonderful lyrics that you can
relate to and make you think, with beautiful, yet energizing melodies.
He's been catagorized as a folk musician, but I used to hear him on
my local Jazz and Rock stations. I don't really know who to compare
him to, other than maybe other male vocalists/guitarists like James
Taylor and Dan Fogelberg...but he's different and refreshing. Big
in Seattle!
Here are three sites you can check before forwarding
any of those questionable e-mails. They list
the hoaxes, urban legends etc.. so you can qualify what you
read before you pass it on. I usually check more than one since
not everything is on all sites. Urbanlegends, Snopes, Hoaxbusters. |
