OYSTERS RECIPES BAKED OYSTERS FRIED OYSTERS OYSTERS CASINO OYSTERS ALLA LIVORNESE OYSTERS ROCKEFELLER OYSTERS IN VINO BLANCO OYSTERS ALLA TARANTINA BAKED OYSTERS 2 dozen oysters-cleaned, and scrubbed 3 tbls.olive oil 3 tbls. butter 2 tbls. of parsley-chopped 2 garlic cloves-minced 1 cup of bread crumbs 1 lemon salt, and pepper cool oysters in ice/open oysters, and loosen from shell, but do not remove/discard top shell, and arrange in baking dish/cover each oyster with a pat of butter, and some garlic/mix bread crumbs,olive oil, and parsley/sprinkle mixture over each oyster, and bake at 375 for about 10 minutes/serve with lemon wedges FRIED OYSTERS 2 dozen oysters-shucked lemon jice flour 2 eggs-beaten bread crumbs salt, and pepper beat eggs with a dash of salt, and pepper/dip oysters in lemon juice,coat in flour,dip in egg, and roll in bread crumbs/fry until golden Oysters Casino 24 oysters 2 Tbls.lemon juice 3 Tbls. minced red pepper 2 Tbls. minced parsley dash of salt, and pepper Bacon cut into 1 inch pieces Pre heat broiler.Scrub oysters, and open them removing top shell.Take some foil, and crumpple it on a cookie sheet.This will keep the oysters from tipping.After placing the oysters on the sheet in a single layer,sprinkle each oyster with a few drops of lemon juice.Mix the red pepper,parsley, and the salt, and pepper.Sprinkle this mixture over each oyster, and finish with a piece of bacon.Place sheet under the broiler, and cook untill bacon is lightly browned OYSTERS ALLA LIVORNESE 2 dozen oysters on the half shell 1 small can of anchovie fillets-minced 2 cloves of garlic-minced 2 tbls. parsley 4 tbls. of bread crumbs 1/4 cup of olive oil pepper mix anchovies,garlic, and parsley/add bread crumbs,pepper, and oil/spread over oysters/broil until browned OYSTERS ROCKEFELLER 2 dozen oysters -raw on half shell 1/4 cups of shallots-minced 1/4 cup of celery-minced 2 cups of fresh spinach 1/4 cup of bread crumbs 2 tbls.melted butter open oysters discard top shell, and place on baking dish/saute shallots,celery, and spinach in butter about 5 minutes/place in blender, and puree/top oysters with mixture/dot with butter, and bread crumbs, and bake at 375 for 15-20 minutes OYSTERS IN VINO BLANCO 16 Freshly shucked oysters 6 oz Dry white wine 2 oz Olive oil 2 oz Fresh lemon juice 1/4 tsp Salt 1/4 tsp pepper 1/4 ts Dried thyme 1 tsp Chopped fresh parsley 1-Garlic clove- crushed Place all ingredients in pot/Bring to a boil over moderate heat/ Remove from heat and allow to cool OYSTERS ALLA TARANTINA 3 dozen oysters on the half shell 2 tbls. of parsley-chopped 1/4 cup of bread crumbs olive oil sliced lemon arrange oysters in baking dish/sprinkle with parsley,and bread crumbs/trickle with olive oil, and bake at 300 for 20 minutes/garnish with lemon slices |
