Nikki Dyer, Tiger Assistant Leader 2008-2009
Tiger Cubs are boys who are either 7 years of age or entering the 1st grade. They have 2 monthly meetings and 5 "Go See IT'S" throughout the year.
The Tiger Cub Program requires parent/guardian participation. Interaction between the adult and scout is expected. As the scout advances to the higher ranks, adult partner participation is expected to be less.
Even though the adult partners participation with their scout lessens, we encourage our parent/guardians to volunteer during scout functions, become a committee member, or assist our den leaders as needed. There are many ways to participate within the pack.
Tigers earn achievement beads for family, den, and go see it activities. After completing the fifteen Achievements, the Tiger Cub is awarded the Tiger Cub Patch.
Also, after completing the achievements, the Tiger Cub can be awarded Tiger Track Beads, which are YELLOW disks attached to the Totem. One bead is awarded for each group of TEN Electives the Tiger Cub completes. A boy can work on both Achievements and electives concurrently, but he can't receive Tiger Track beads until he has earned the Tiger Cub Badge.
Den Dues are $20.00 for the year. We suggest to our leaders to do a den fundraiser to generate money for dues so parents/guardians do not have to pay dues out of pocket.
For those of you that do not participate in den fundraisers, it is expected that the den leader will collect the $20.00 den dues.
Dues money is used by your den leader for materials used during den meetings and activities that the den participates in where there are fees.
Chris and Nikki have a Tiger Cub and a Scout Buddy. This is their first year in the pack.
