Download abc4mac Software

Cut to the chase - if you already know you want this software, go right ahead and download it.

If you are a Macintosh user, read about abc4mac , which will tell you about a Macintosh (OS 7.5 - 9.2) implementation of the abc standard for exchanging tunes on the internet. Here are changes in the software since the last release.

I have written a brief introduction to abc and abc4mac which also compares it with BarFly.

Skink is a pure Java application that can display abc. It runs anywhere there is a Java 1.2 or better runtime, including Unix, Linux, Windows, Mac OS and Mac OSX. Version 1.0a4 is available for Mac OS X , for Mac OS 8.x [still version 0.9] or 9.x and for Linux, Unix and Windows [version 1.1f2].

The current version allows multiple tunes to be selected at a time for viewing or printing, and basic playback.
