Christmas Stockings
I made this quilt in a day--I needed to take a break from all the "deadline" quilts even though time was precious.  On Wednesday, November 26, I pulled out all the scrap Christmas fabric my mother gave me after she made new stockings for the family, and began cutting away.  Quilt presented to Patti Naglosky (coworker) for Christmas, 2008.  Decorative stitch was used in vertical "stitch-in-ditch" fashion.

Storm at Sea
Pattern found in an old quilt magazine.  Jen (sister) had given me the nautical fabric, requesting a quilt for Derek (her husband).  This pattern was perfect!   Presented to Derek Berquist for Christmas, 2008.  Overall wavy meander quilting used.

Fun with Bricks
Made "for fun" orginally, but upon sewing the binding down at mom's over Thanksgiving, 2008, Jen Keding (SIL) requested a new quilt.  It was gifted immediately.  Meander quilting using verigated thread in colored areas; a white quarter-circle quilting in the white areas.

Orange Crush
Mystery #2 by Bonnie Hunter of www.quiltville.com (April-June). This was the first of her mysteries I took part in.  This was the last top that was pieced with my Brother Sewing machine and one of the first projects that was partially pieced with my new Bernina.  SELF OWNED!  I love this quilt!  Overall meander quilting using orange thread.

Zion Year of the Bible
During Thanksgiving visit, 2007, after I completed Lindsay's Christmas quilt, I worked on sewing these blocks togethet for my mother.  Her church's congregation (Zion Lutheran) had made the blocks.  Well, I had ALMOST finished piecing the rows before I needed to leave.  I left it out for her to finish.  HA, right?
While visiting in June, 2008, I was putting some games away on a shelf...and there it was, folded up on a shelf, STILL awaiting completion.  So, I snuck it home, and finished it up prior to her visiting in July, 2008.  A continuous cross motif travels the length of the vertical sashings.  It is now hanging in the Welcoming Hall at the church.

Hearts of Kharma
Kim Waak (coworker) gifted this kit to me since it had been on her shelf since 1989!  The kit should have been big enough to make a 4x4 setting, but one square was missing.  I gifted the 2x3 setting back to Kim and kept the 3x3 for myself.  Hearts of Kharma seemed to be the appropriate name; afterall, good Kharma always rewards itself!

Christmas Wallhanging
This was my first project of 2008 and is the first time I used a quilting motif.  This was a perfect project that incorporated piecing, applique and quilting; a learning experience for me. Self owned.

Grandma Vollert's Tablecloth
I was asked to quilt this "wholecloth" tablecloth that had been cross-stitched by Grandma Vollert.  It was a wonderful way to practice quilting and was quite enjoyable seeing the final product.  It was gifted to a cousin of Paul's for her wedding.

Lazy Days tote
My first NON-QUILT project!  This was one of the first complete projects I pieced and quilted with the Bernina!  The pieces are SMALL, but the tote is perfect as a travel-sewing-bag.  A second bag was also made for my 100th post give-away that was won by Angela (Soscrappy) of Florida.

MIL's table runners
These were simple runners put together by my MIL using holiday-themed fabrics.  These were excellent ways to practice a variety of FMQ meanders.
