Earth mediations are for stabilization. Many of them focus on strength, empowerment and labor. The mediations are to strengthen the mind body and soul, creating a solid base of energy within. Earth meditation can be used to help us discover our primal form and emotions as well.



Earth Meditation of Stabilization

  1. Sit in an open area where you are comfortable. It is best to be skyclad, but loose clothes are fine as well.

  2. Sit on the ground with your hands and feet in front of you.

  3. Close your eyes and take slow breaths in through the nose and out through the mouth, concentrating on the air flowing in and out of your lungs.

  4. With each breath, concentrate on the feeling of the air rushing through your nose and into your lungs.

  5. Focus your energies downward into the earth. Picture them 'rooting' into the ground.

  6. Feel your energy sinking into the earth and the earth enveloping your energy.

  7. Focus on the stability of the earth. Focus on roots of energy embracing you.

  8. As you come out of the meditation, gently pull your energy up and back into yourself.




Earthen Tomb Meditation

  1. Lay down in an open area where you are comfortable. It is best to be skyclad, but loose clothes are fine as well.

  2. Rest your arms to either side of yourself, palms upward.

  3. Close your eyes and take slow breaths in through the nose and out through the mouth, concentrating on the air flowing in and out of your lungs.

  4. With each breath, concentrate on the feeling of the air rushing through your nose and into your lungs.

  5. Relax you whole body, starting with the tips of your toes and working your way upward through your legs, torso, arms and head.

  6. Visualize yourself sinking into the earth as you relax your body into the ground.

  7. Feel the energies of the earth forming around you, embracing you into a tomb.

  8. As you come out of the meditation, 'lift' yourself up out of the earth energies. Tense your body starting with your head and working your way down to your toes.
