I am back home. After a long and drawn out flight from Hamburg to the states we made it back safely. And slowly but surely i am getting on my feet. Who would have thought that there are soooo many little things to take care of when you move from one city to the next. Man oh Man. But I know enough people so it hasnt been that bad.
Thank you People! And thank all of you who were at my "OPEN HOUSE"! It was definately a big surprise, and I had a great time. I didnt know i had that many people who cared ;-) It was a big shock, a big success, and all that I can do when i think about it is smile, and from cheak to cheak!
other than that, i will let you all know when i get settled in and get my contact information in hand. Take care for now. With lots of love, -- me
Oh, another week................ where did the weekend go!?
Oh, yeah, it went to the Netherlands. ha ha ha. Bitter cold
weather prevented us from simply wandering all over the city. In
fact it made us run from one place to the next. Strange how one
starts to plan the next destination before leaving the warmth of a
restaraunt, a museum, a store, or what ever. and all it took was a
little motivation from the biting cold wind. But the Heineken
Museum, or the Heineken Experience as it is named was cool. I
recomend it to anyone who has the pleasure of making it to the forbidden
city. Lets just say that the World of Coca Cola in Atlanta has
nothing on this place. And no, its not because of the free beer
either. Afterall, you simply paid for it in the price of admission.
So, when you are in the town, go and check it out!!
Oh, another day.............. does it seem like all you do is eat,
sleep, and work. Is this a cycle that plagues you on a daily baisis.
If so, well dig deep, find some motivation, get some backbone and do
something about it!! Nah ja. Whats new, hmmm, nothing really.
It was a relaxing weekend, went to see Red Dragon, and Triple X. Saw
a disco with kids in it, (4-15). They were mixed in with a majority
adult crowd. That was odd. Who takes their kids to, or lets
their kids play in a disco, but hey, dfferent strokes for differnt folks
right!? I dont get any mail. I have decided that it is
pointless for me to check my mailbox anymore because i dont get any mail.
whats wrong with you people. only my momma sends me mail, ha ha ha. i am
out. hollar
Thursday October 31
Ok, Ok, so I owe all of my loyal
fans an apology for not updating this site in a few weeks. I got a
little busy, i am sorry. It gets hard being on the road without my
laptop. But not to worry, I promise improvements in content and more.
Tomorrow is a Holiday here in Nürnberg. (Which one, well I haven't the
slightest idea, but as long as I dont have to go to work...) But that
means that I can take a trip somewhere. And where in the world
should I go. You know, I asked myself the exact same question.
So I took my dart and hurled it as accurately as I could at my map, and
where did it land!!!???........well it landed somewhere. and while
it may be cheating, i picked the largest city close to where it landed.
that just happened to be Venice. So we're hopping on a bus, and
booking it on down to Venice for the long weekend. I will let you know if
we fall in the water, or anything like that.
Sunday, October 27
So long Jason Brian. Well its
official, we are one trainee short of a trio. Mr Brian has gone on
home. Good Luck buddy. But not too worry we had a good ole
time out his last weekend here in Nürnberg. A whirlwind tour around
western Germany in a Mercedes C-Class.is how it ended out. And a
good ole Friday night at Tiefenrausch is how it started out. We hit
the club for some good music, and a bit of google eyeing. And with
that out of the way it was Autobahn all the way. Needless to say
there were no weekend reports on the death of 3 Americans on the German
autobahn that weekend. ha ha ha. Although there were a few
encounters. But out trip just goes to show just how small Europe
is. We started out Saturday afternoon. Had lunch a terrible lunch at
a BurgerKing here in Germany. From there it was a run past
Frankfurt, with an overnight in Köln. That was one city which
surprised me. It was pretty young, and energetic on a Saturday night.
I was impressed and cant wait to go back for a closer look. We spent
the night there, and on Sunday we had a brief stop over in Luxemburg, and
then we went on down to Metz (pronounced Mezzz, for our French
counterparts - Jerome). So that was 3 countries in one day.
Can you believe it, lol. Then we headed back to Nürnberg, while
stopping through Heidelberg. Go us go.
Friday September 13.
Wow, can you believe it that I got to travel with my wittle owe mudder?
But sure enough I did! We got to check out Berlin, Munich, and
Nuernberg! Who would have thought. It was good to go back to
Berlin after a few years, and as far as Germany goes it is still one of my
all time favorite cities. Of course as a tourist i am sure that it
sucks. I mean most of the most interesting places are hidden, or
simply tucked quietly away, which makes it a pain in the butt when you try
to find something. But its got character, and just a vibe that is all its
own. But when you need a get away there is Potsdam with its
Sansoucci park. We got to see both, so that was good. It is still
beauty at its best. Munich was Munich. But this time I finally made it on over to Dachau, the 'model'
concentration camp. twas sombering, but worth seeing. And
Nuernberg, well, its Nuernberg, lol.
Monday September 2.
So the weeks are simply starting to fly by. Man oh Man. But regardless,
I had a great time this weekend. We ran on up to Amsterdam for the weekend.
Left friday morning, got there 7 hours later and came back sunday night.
It was great Add another one to the top cities, which now include
AMSTERDAM, Berlin, New York, and Barcelona. Now as we arrived I was
wondering what we had gotten ourselves into. I mean the very first
thoughts were, A) This place just plain old STINKS, and B) what are these
crazy looking people doing all over the place. But that simply turned out
to be the area around the train station. so it got better, certain areas of the
city still smelled horrendous, but it got better. And when all is said and
done, it really is a beautiful city. Its got lots of canals, and lots of
the typical Hollandish architecture. Its got history, culture, and anything that one
could ask for. Oh and of course it has what its always been known for, sex and
drugs and flowers.
But if you are in the area, i would say that its a must have to put on the
list. as soon as i get around to it, i will put up my amsterdam pics.
Wednesday September 28.
Its been easy going so far. Lots of
smaller trips, some of them new, some of them repeats. Either way it
doesnt make that much of a difference, I mean the second time around you
simply pick up where you left off. I have done some by myself and
some with others. Each style definately has an advantage. But
of course there is a big difference too. I mean going into a strange
city and sitting in the park by yourself isnt quite the same as doing it
with someone else. Plus people might start to look at you funny.

Before
Well now lets see : Lets start with the story of the original trip
around Europe. It took four and a half long weeks to make it from one end
of Europe, (Hungary) on over to the other, (Portugal), but it was fun and well worth the
time to relax and see it all!! We took to the rails (trains) with our
train passes and our back packs and just went out on our adventure. It was
travel or Bust, which unfortunately actually happened somewhere in the
middle fo the trip, when i ran out of money, lol. But thats another
story. But the
places that we saw were
Budapest , Salzburg , Venice, Nice, Barcelona,
Madrid, Seville, Lagos, Lisbon, Paris, Berlin, Groningen, Hamburg, and a
few in between! We met some of the craziest people and had a good time
doing it. I would recommend it to just about anyone.
