Like the dead leaves scattered on the pavement,
My shameful dreams shattered beyond imagination.
The nights were cold, the days were empty.
The moon and sun laughed at my insanity.
I could see the face.
As I reached the water,
As I tried to embrace,
All I heard was laughter.
Times were slow, enriched with pains.
Engraved in sorrow, slashed my veins.
Painful stroll but I had to walk.
If I stopped, my life would stalk.
My existence shivered of sadness.
All the memories came clear in the darkness.
Legacy inherited, not wanted by me.
For all I asked was for you to love me.
Till I finally die, would I suffer in vain?
Through constant disgrace, put me in forever pain.
I created a dream, I started a joke.
My tired eyes were finally soaked.
For now I could clearly see,
That the joke was on me!
