A cake you smoother in a brown sugar icing
Cover the oatmeal with the boiling water in a bowl. Add the sugar, stirring well. Add the butter and stir until butter is completely melted. Add the remaining ingredients, making sure to finish with dry ingredients (except icing). Pour into a 13" X 9" X 2" baking mold. Bake at 325 °F oven, 35 minutes. Cool and ice with icing.
Beat the eggs, oil and sugar together until slightly thickened. Sift dry ingredients together. Using a small part of the flour mixture, enrobe the apples, raisins , carrot's and nuts in a bowl, mixing carefully. Add the remaining flour to the egg mixture beating well. Delicately add the fruits. Pour into a 9" X 13" X 2" greased mold. Bake in 350 °F oven 35-40 minutes. Cool on a cake grill and frost.
Place the cookies on the edge of a 8 ½" round spring-form cake pan.
Beat
the cream cheese and brown sugar with an electrical beater until smooth.
Sprinkle the gelatin on the almond liqueur in a small saucepan ; allow
to rest five minutes to soften. Heat on low heat until the gelatin is completely
dissolved. Add the hot gelatin mixture to the cream cheese. Add carefully
the whipped cream. reserve 1 cup of this mixture. Melt the chocolate; allow
to cool. Carefully add to the whipped cream mixture. Pour into cake mold,
reserving ½ cup of this mixture; spread the white mixture reserved
earlier on the top. Swirl the chocolate mixture over the top, using a knife
to swirl. Refrigerate at least three hours.
To
prepare topping: Melt the chocolate in double boiler over simmering heat.
Remove from heat, stirring until chocolate is completely melted. Dip the
almonds into the cooled chocolate; refrigerate. Place cooled almonds on
the top of the biscuits to decorate.
Cut together flour, brown sugar, and Crisco. Remove 1 cup and set aside. Add eggs and spices to remaining flour mixture.
Mix milk and vinegar, let stand 5 min. Add baking soda, mix until foamy.
Add milk to flour mix, stir just a little to mix a bit. Pour in greased
tube pan. Sprinkle reserved flour mix on top. Bake at 375F (190C) for 1
hour, until toothpick is JUST clean. Do not over stir! Do not overbake!
