Saturdays, Sundays, and Nights . . . It's not just a job . . . It's a joke!

After fifteen years in the Navy, I have decided to leave at my next oppertunity. I will have served my country for sixteen years. People ask me "WHAT'S IT LIKE?" Here you can read the answer to that question. People ask me "ARE YOU CRAZY? LEAVING AFTER SIXTEEN, FOUR YEARS FROM RETIREMENT?" Read this, pay attention, and answer me this. Who is more crazy, the person who gets out after going through this, or the person who lives four more years in it? The answers are here for you to discover without making me re-live it. I can not in my own words describe completely how much I hate where I am, what I do, and who I do it for. So here . . .

Quotes I wrote.

I carried around a few little notebooks while onboard the BigBlackSoulSuckingDeathPig and when someone said something that struck my fancy, I wrote it down. Maybe I wrote down who said it, maybe I didn't. Most of them I remember who said it anyway. Maybe I even said a few. Some of them may not be funny to you because you are not familiar with the way a sub works. Some may not be funny because you weren't there. Some may not be funny because you don't know who said them or to whom they were said. Read them anyway because this is stuff we talk about.

Exchanges I heard.

Pretty much the same as quotes, only these are a few people talking to each other and I was just writing away. Most of these concern how screwed up our boat really is / was.

Why McDonalds is Better Than the Navy.

A Second Class Mechanic Submarines Qualified started this. Everybody pretty much had a hand in it. Some reasons sound pretty much the same, there are subtle differences though. The goal is 100 reasons, almost there. Can you help us out?

Others Writings I Put Here.

Believe it or not, there were others that wrote before me. Some of the people were long gone when I reported to the MightyWarPickle but their writings remained. They were presented to me, and I share them with you.

Observations, Can you believe half of what you see?

You may not believe any of these things that I saw. Some of these things are ramblings that I lament and wonder about.
