Quotes I wrote.

I carried around a few little notebooks while onboard the BigBlackSoulSuckingDeathPig and when someone said something that struck my fancy, I wrote it down. Maybe I wrote down who said it, maybe I didn't. Most of them I remember who said it anyway. Maybe I even said a few. Some of them may not be funny to you because you are not familiar with the way a sub works. Some may not be funny because you weren't there. Some may not be funny because you don't know who said them or to whom they were said. Read them anyway because this is stuff we talk about.

M-Division quotes.

I am a mechanic. These are the people I most directly work with. My division is part of the reason I am deciding to leave the Navy after 16 years. Sounds pretty stupid, but after reading this, staying in sounds rediculous too.

"E" starting rates.

ELT, EM, ET, these people are not mechanics. I don't hold that against them because I don't want to be a mechanic here either.

E-7 and above. The "leadership."

These are the people that are large and in charge. On the soul crusher, I have learned never to trust any of these people and I wonder if I will ever be able to do so anywhere else. These are the people that have driven me to the brink of desertion. These are the people that have taken force reduction as a personnal side job. They have driven out a few, and I am close to being one of them.

Coners, and no-names

The front part of the boat has to be there because an engine room wont go through the water with that big flat spot up front. The front part of the boat is a cone. The people that "work" there are called "CONERS" and that's all I have to say about that.

back to Saturdays, Sundays, and Nights . . . Its's not just a job . . . It's a joke!
