THE BREVARD VETERANS COUNCIL, Inc
The Brevard Veterans Council is
made up of more that 60 veterans organizations and over 220 individual members. The
Council meets on the second Wednesday of every month at 9:00 AM at the Center. The Council
Officers include a Chairman, Vice-Chairman, Secretary, Treasurer and 9 Representatives
from local Veteran Organizations. The 1997-98 Council Members are: Rod Smith, Chairman THE VETERANS MEMORIAL CENTER, Inc. The Council has established a Veterans Memorial Center, Inc. organization for the purpose of operating the Center and its facilities. Oversight control is achieved through a five member Board of Trustees appointed by the Council, while the actual day-to-day operation is handled by a 17 member Executive Board which the Trustees elect from representatives nominated by the Veterans organizations in Brevard County. This is a 501(c)3 educational organization. VMC Board of Trustees Rod Smith VMC Executive Board William Conner, Co-Chair The Veterans Memorial Center is operated primarily by volunteers. Anyone interested in helping in the day-to-day operation of the Center is encouraged to contact personnel on duty at the Center. BREVARD VETERANS CENTER CHAIRPERSONS There are 17 duty areas that are manned by Brevard Veterans Center Chairpersons. These areas are listed below, along with the Chairperson(s) responsible for each area named: Newsletter -- Pati Baker MEMBERSHIP INFORMATION Individuals or veteran organizations may join the Brevard Veterans Council for an annual fee of $10 or $35 for a Life Membership. Membership with the Council automatically includes membership with the Veterans Memorial Center. Donations are also essential to the continued operation and maintenance of the Center. Donations are Tax Deductible under IRS Code 501(c)3. Each donor will be properly recognized.
