The Green Iguna lives in the rain forests in Central and South America. The ones found in pet stores normally come from Columbia. They are considered a threatened spieces.
In the wild Iguana's eat lots of leaves, flowers and soft fruits. They are strictly herbivorous and need to be fed that when when they are in captivity.
In the wild they are expected to live for 10-15 years. If cared for properly in captivity they may live for 20 years or more. They can reach a length of 5-7 feet, weighing up to 18 pds. Do all you can to provide for your Iguana , in the form of housing, food and please take in effect the cost to raise these bundle of joys.
