Cost of Maintaining an Iguana

When we bought Dawg it cost us 200.00 by the time we got the lights and other stuff. After about 1 week I decided that we needed more stuff for his cage so we spent another 30.00 on greenery and rocks and stuff. GUESS WHAT !!!!!!!!!!!!! He grew LOL.


Now were looking at building him a cage and after we bought all the plexi glass, wood, nails and boards for shelves we were looking at another 100.00. Of course that still wasnt good enough for my baby so we had to go buy carpet for his home. There goes another 40.00.


Of course then he got an abscess on his jaw and I rushed him to the vet as soon as I got an appointment and they did surgery....BAM !!!!!! 100.00. Now lets not forget the food. I spend at least 10.00 a week for food for him because I insist everything be fresh. I will not freeze his food.


Now that I think I am at the end of this spending, I decide that I want him in bigger place so here we go again. I have hubby take the doors off the big closet and knock part of it down(I dont even want to think what that will cost to replace) LOL we moved his play pen there. Now mind you the closet is in my office, I have two computers, scanner, printer, fax and all my files here. You guessed it I think...I always open his door and let him roam free in the house. Well he decided that it was time for him to learn to type


Well have to have someone in to fix the puter now. There goes another 100.00. The cost just keeps going and going. Seems like I have 2 year old in the house again. But we love our Dawg and will give all our money to make sure he was happy and safe.
