My First Show!My Awards Page
Hello!My name is Lindsay. I am a college freshman at the University of North Carolina at Chapel Hill. I aged out last year from AKC Junior Showmanship, where I competed in the Open Senior class. I have been showing dogs since 1998 as an Junior and semi-professional handler for Kary Love at Season's Gold Kennels. We enjoyed some success with Samson and some of the other dogs, but I was unable to go every weekend, or even as much as I wanted to.
I love my dogs. I have a German Shepherd dog named Draco, a Golden retriever named Phro, and a mixed breed named Trixie; all of whom live with my parents at home since I am not able to have pets at college :( . Draco and I enjoy practicing our obedience exercises (though we have never competed) and agility. I hope to compete in agility with him, but that is really up to him since he only seems to listen to me when it amuses him.
Unfortunately, here at college I have no way to get to dog shows. I know, it is horrible. I might attend a few when I am home for the weekend, but otherwise I am on a showing break!
