Dear Diary,
Well, here it is December and we haven't worked on our webpage in a long, long time. Mom's computer has been really messed up for a long time and she wouldn't let us use it. What did she think? That me and Fuzz were the ones who messed it up? I don't think so! I bet it was that Aunt Dodie or Aunt Al. Those two old ladies are always getting on Mom's computer and messing with something!! But our dear Uncle Kenny fixed Mom's computer up for her on Thanksgiving. Mom unhooked EVERYTHING and took it out there and he really did a good job on it. So me and Fuzz talked it over and we have decided to update everyone on what's been going on with us for all these months. ARE YOU READY??
May 2000
Mom had an exciting time on her vacation in May - she went to Florida with Aunt Elsie and her friends Pat & Steve. Here are all the pictures she took.
June 2000
This month we planted more flowers on the balcony and Mom kept going over to Aunt Dodie's to work on their garden. Aunt Al called us one day to tell us she had gone to jail (we're not sure why, but I think that it probably had something to do with the fact that she doesn't like us kitties much), and once again I had a teeny tiny coughing spell and Mom stuck those nasty pills down my throat - YUK!! But the most exciting thing of all I will just have to tell all about - on June 21 me and Mom were sooooooooo mad at each other and here is why:
Mom went out on the balcony the night before and I went out there with her. Well, the crazy old lady didn't even see me go out with her, so when she came back in she left me out there all by myself! She was so tired that she went straight to bed and never even knew I was outside! I scratched and scratched at the door, but she never woke up to let me in. Then it started to storm and rain. It had been raining and raining a lot in June. It rained so hard and the thunder was so loud that I was really, really scared! And Mom still didn't wake up and let me in! Well, by about 3:30 in the morning I'd had just about enough of this storm! So I decided to try and wake Mom up another way. I got up on the railing of the balcony and then I jumped all the way over to the bedroom window. I was hanging on the screen and screaming as loud as I could!! By golly this finally woke her up! So she jumped out of bed, and ran out onto the balcony to try and get me to jump back over. No way was I gonna jump again! Then she ran back into the bedroom and opened up the window to try to reach me. Well, she couldn't reach 'cause by then I was only hanging by my front toenails and I was pulling the screen out of the window!! She kept reaching for me and I kept screaming at her and when I just couldn't hang on anymore I let go and me and the screen both fell 2 stories into a great big mud puddle. This made me even madder! But it sure was funny to see Mom running around outside at 3:30 a.m. in only half her clothes looking for me!! Hee hee!! Mom found me when I screamed at her again and she grabbed me and ran back in the apartment. She got me a towel and tried to help me dry off, but I was so mad that I wouldn't even let her touch me! It took me about an hour to finally get cleaned up. And then I took a real long nap!!
But the good part was that Mom felt so bad about my misadventure that she went and got a great big catnip plant for me!! Then a little later in that month we got a surprise visit from Mom's old boyfriend Jim. He looked so different that none of us, not even Mom, recognized him. Once me and Fuzz figured out who he was though, we made Mom let him in so he could play games with us like he used to always do.
July 2000
It just rained, and rained, and rained, and rained this month . It rained so much and was so flooded that they talked about it on the news and Mom's Friend Tom in Georgia heard about it all the way down there. He called us to make sure we hadn't drowned.
There was some kind of holiday that month but us kitties didn't like it much - it was noisy and there were bright flashes of light that scared us! Mom's old boyfriend Jim came over and he even made some loud noises and bright lights in the parking lot. Then he had to leave cause he was afraid someone would call the police because of all the noise he was making.
Mom still found time to go over to Aunt Dodie's house and work in that garden. And she even brought home some stuff that they had grown too: Veggies and stuff.
Mom's friend from Georgia called us again to tell us that HE is on the internet now, too. He gave us the address and sure enough - there he was! But why was he holding that DOG??
And then we had a really scary night this month. Mom got really, really sick and couldn't even stand up. We sure were glad that Aunt Lilka and Mom's friend Amy were here to take her to the emergency room!! Me and Fuzz don't know how to drive Mom's car or how to dial 911. Mom was gone for a few hours and we worried and worried - well, if something happened to her who would feed us in the morning?? Turned out that Mom had a kidney stone (whatever that is) and got to stay home from work with us kitties the next day. She sure wasn't much fun that day though.
Mom also went to her High School Reunion in July and got to see people she hadn't seen in years and years! And then we heard that Grandaddy Longlegs went and got married! Who would have thought that someone would marry that old man? After all, he is about a million in cat years!!
August 2000
Well this month the rain finally stopped and we didn't get another drop of rain the whole month. It was soooooo hot that we all just took it easy and didn't do a whole lot. Mom and Aunt Lilka went to a Pagan Gathering to see what it was all about. Aunt Lilka told us a funny story about how cousin Tiny put one of her books in the litterbox! It was a book about how to make your cat behave, and well, we didn't blame him a bit for putting it where it belongs!!
Aunt Elsie went on vacation for a week so Mom had to go to work and do her job while she was gone. Mom said it wasn't too bad except that when she got in her car to go do the errands, that she had to take the car to the shop instead, cause her alternator went out. We don't have any idea what that's means... Sometime during this month Mom looked around and realized that the great big fine catnip plant she bought was missing. We all think that one of those storms in July must have blown it away!! I sure do miss that catnip plant!
Mom's old boyfriend Jim went away - he joined the Army and they sent him to, of all places, Georgia!! I guess that means she will be going down there again one of these days... Since it was so hot and we didn't want to go outside much, Fuzz sat down and wrote up a little something that he had been thinking about. We have always wondered just what Mom does while she is at work all day so Fuzz did a little research and snooping and here is what he found out: Mom works!!!

Aunt Dodie was on vacation for two whole weeks and did nothing but stay home and play with her computer. You would think she would have worked on our website, but no...... She had better things to do than think of her poor little nephews!
Aunt Lilka told us the sad story about how Cousin Tiny burned his tongue and had to eat human baby food until it got well. She was cooking noodles for her dinner and when she turned her back, Tiny had to check and see if the noodles were done yet. Boy did he get a surprise when he tried to taste them!
Uncle Kenny and Aunt Iris are building a big new house. Uncle Kenny has been working hard on it all summer. Here are some pictures that he sent us.
Mom went to the Renaissance Festival in Kansas City with Aunt Lilka and her friend Stephanie. This is a game that weird people (like our Mom!) like to play. They dress up in old-fashioned clothes and act like they lived back in the old days and buy lots of strange things like bamboo flutes and tambourines and little bags of herbs (no catnip though) and scented oils and beeswax and handmade soap. How odd these humans are!!!

Can you believe it? Mom and Aunt Lilka went the RenFest again! Then, Aunt Lilka threw a big Halloween party. There were lots of guests: Mom and Aunt Dodie and Amy and Kat and Dave and Stephanie and Stephanie's very strange friends. And some of these people dressed up again! Mom wore her very best witchy outfit. She even wore this outfit to work!!! I'm glad me and Fuzz always just wear our same little fur coats every day!
Aunt Dodie's computer monitor was broken for a while. Does she think this is an excuse not to do our website? We happen to know for a fact that Uncle Kenny loaned her one of his monitors! So, we don't know why she ignored us for so long!!!
November 2000
Poor old Aunt Dodie. She never gets anything right. She was supposed to go meet Mom and Uncle Kenny and Aunt Iris at CiCi's for pizza. She ended up sitting in the parking lot waiting for 30 minutes while everyone else was inside eating pizza. Gee, Aunt Dodie, where did you think they were???? Then a few days later, Aunt Dodie was supposed to go meet everybody for breakfast and she got mad and flipped out and left the restaurant. And nobody even knew why.
Aunt Lilka says Aunt Dodie just has the 'Christmas flakies,' same as every year!
Mom and Aunt Dodie and Aunt Lilka went out to Uncle Kenny and Aunt Iris's for Thanksgiving. Mom made an awesome turtle cheesecake to take. Uncle Pat was there too. He's sporting a new goatee and a military haircut. Me and Fuzz are not sure about all this. We think Uncle Pat is more the ponytail type.
