Just this side of heaven is a place called Rainbow
Bridge. When our beloved pets die, they journey to this
idyllic spot. There are meadows and hills enough for all
to frolic freely, and plenty of food, water and sunshine.
Each and every animal is warm and comfortable.

Those pets who have been ill or aged are restored
to health and vigor. Those who were hurt or maimed are
made whole and strong. Each is just as we remember in
our dreams of days and times gone by. Our pets are
happy and content at Rainbow Bridge, except for one
small thing. Every creature misses someone special,
whom they've left behind.

The animals all run and play together, but the day
comes when one suddenly stops, and looks into the
distance. Bright eyes are intent; an eager body begins to
quiver. Suddenly, running from the group, flying over the
green grass, legs going faster and faster.

You have been spotted, and you and your special
friend come together in joyous reunion. Happy kisses
rain upon your face; your hands again caress the beloved
head; and you look once more into the trusting
eyes of your pet, so long gone from your life, but never
absent from your heart. Then you cross the Rainbow Bridge
together.

Fluffy was a little white Terrier. She was
a very sweet and bouncy little dog.
My husband found her roaming around the
neighborhood, very dirty and full of fleas.
She also had a terrible ear infection that
had deformed her ears. She continued to have
these ear infections, but at least we
were able to get her relief with medication.
The vet said that whoever had her
before had terribly neglected her.
She was about seven years old then,
and lived another five years.
We spent a lot of money trying to
get this little dog healed up.
She gave it back ten times over with all the
love and devotion, she so freely gave to us.

We love you little girl.

Lolita was a little friskey, brown Chihuahua.
We got her when someone left her
behind at our garage sale. She was about
two years old then.
Lolita let us dress her up in little outfits,
and carry her around like a baby.
Her favorite spot was on one of our laps.
She lived to be twelve years old.
We nursed her thru her first heart attack,
but after the second one, she left us for
the Rainbow Bridge.
Although Lolita was very loving, sweet
and cuddly, she would turn vicious
if other people got too close.
This was her way of showing us
how much she loved us.

We miss you, Lolli.

Alfie was a miniature white poodle.
If you had looked in a book at tips
on buying a perfect show dog,
he had all the bad points, but he was so
sweet and loving that it didn't matter.
My husband, Ray, walked in the door
one day, with Alfie in his pocket. From
that day on, Alfie was one of the "kids".
I don't think he ever knew he was a dog.
Alfie became very attached to Ray.
When he heard him at the door, he
would, jump up to him, stand on his belt
and put his paws over his shoulder.
He would just love for Ray to hold
him like this, and baby-talk him.
We all enjoyed spoiling Alfie. He
was a smart, loving, loyal little dog.
The bond that began that day when
Ray stood there with Alfie in his
pocket, lasted a lifetime.

We will always remember you, Alfie.
