| About Our Aviary |
We have 7 pairs of breeder birds kept in our heated indoor aviary, with seven breeder cages sitting on raised decks for daily cleaning. Cages are cleaned every morning with treats given around noon. Twice a week all of our birds get showers. As a canadian winter precaution the aviary is on a back-up power system to maintain heat and power to incubators and brooders.
The nursury is located inside our home where we can keep a vigilant watch over the chicks. We spoonfeed all babies in our kitchen and give them tender loving care until they are ready to go to their new home.
