We met on a wintery July night in 2001, as I was coming home by train from university at the railway station. A friendship was struck up. Andrew lied about his age, saying that he was 22 when instead he was 19 (1st of the lies, hehe). We spoke or saw one another on a daily basis. I visited Andrew when he had his tonsils taken out, unlike any of his other mates. Grins, tummy comments and unable to look at me eye to eye. On Friday September 28th of 2001 we went out to a comedy gig with friends and on the way home Andrew placed his hand on my lap quite comfortably and naturally, and so September 29th marks our "hook up" :)

We are like magnets, at times we propel one another and for the majority we are attracted to one another. Bitter and sweet moments. Yin and yang. Lots of learning. Time apart inbetween. Understanding how age differences play a role, the influences of things around, the importance of honesty, respect and open communication, and finding a healthy balance.

What a rollercoaster ride it has been!! Here's to a smoother journey for us both, whether it be together or on our separate ways :) Let us not forget to be friends foremost.
