This is the first entry that I have written in reaction to something that I read that made me mad. I have just found out about a thing called government subsidy.
You should be familiar with something called welfare that is used to help support people that do not have the means to find or do work. I do not have a problem with that by any means. Sure it gets abused by people like everything with good intentions does but you have to take the good with the bad. What I am talking about here is like welfare but not for single mothers with 6 children, not for disabled people who are unable to work, not for anyone who needs the help, but for big profitable businesses.
McDonalds is the largest of these corporations. They receieve huge sums of money each year for a program called the U.S. Market Promotion Program which is a program designed to help huge companies in their ad campaigns overseas. Some of the money that is used to fund this program comes from our fucking taxes!! Since when are our tax dollars supposed to be used to fund ads for businesses to florish and pillage in other countries?
Politicians are always talking about cutting taxes and shit during their speeches to get votes. If this campaigns was dropped it would save tax payers at least $500 million over a 5 year period. Any politician that promises to abolish this crack pot program will definately get my vote!
