Gig Harbor has some nice things going: Snake Run, two bowls, a street course with millions of lines, and a couple of crazy locals. The problems? It's coping is sunk in on most of the areas, sand lines the entire outside, it's mellow as hell in some places, the halfpipe is fucked up, and since it's a new park, it's packed to the bone with people not watching for anyone else, plus a wide variety of little kids. I had fun the first time I went but I didn't like it as much the last time.
