October 10: Our second to last stop on our way back home was The Dalles. Not only was it easy to find, it quickly became my favorite park! Why? I'll tell you! On each side there is a set of mirror image ramps. The ramps include a quarterpipe to quarterpipe jump (like the Maple Valley hip angle-wise, one was higher than the other), a bank up to a ledge, a bank runway, and a quarterpipe jump like the one at Bothel. In the middle were multiple jumps and ledges, plus a 3' spine. This place has excellent flow and great locals. A must stop! It's located behind Safeway and Ernst, you can see the stores from the freeway.
Bathrooms: No, but Safeway is right there
Drinking fountains: No, see above
Landscape: Open
Other: None
Coping: All round, metal, even a railroad tie
Jumps: A jump on almost every line
Crowds: Awesome locals
Specials: The park rocks
Directions: Take I-84 East from Portland. Take the exit that you can see Safeway/Ernst from. The park is behind those stores.
