If you don’t know what a hardflip looks like, the fingerboard flips straight back until it is directly upside down, then flips a half turn sideways, leveling out on it’s wheels again. This is not as hard as it sounds, because the fingerboard is bottom heavy and flips over by itself. Here is how it is done: 1) Place your back finger just behind the rear trucks, centered on the board, and your front finger directly over the front trucks 2) Find a waist high gap and get down on your knees 3) Roll along the top of the gap at medium speed, and just before the edge of the lip, drop etc. pop the board with your rear finger 4) Try not to manipulate the board at all with your front finger and let the board flip 5) After the board flips, catch it by positioning your hand over the board as it falls and guiding/forcing it toward the landing. DO NOT USE YOUR THUMBS WHEN CATCHING THE FINGERBOARD! IT IS CHEAP! 6) Land softly. A broken fingerboard is useless. 7) Practice, Practice, Practice. |
