Replacing Tech Deck Bushings For Softer Ones

This is a simple procedure and can be done quickly. It can save you a great deal of money, due to the fact that it is a great shock absorber for big drops off of large gaps, and allows tech grinds such as k-grinds and salad grinds.

1) Loosten the nut on the king pin of both trucks

2) Take both bushings off of the fingerboard

3) Cut an elastic band into tiny squares. You will need about 8 of them, depending on the thickness of the elastic.

4) Poke tiny holes into the center of the elastic squares

5) Place the elastics on the kingpin, positioning two underneath the hanger and two above it on each truck.

6) Replace the nut onto the kingpin

                                     Replacing the Grip

I’m embarrassed that you guys need help doing this but here we go...

1) Grab a knife (get your mommy to help you) and get the tip of it under a corner of the original grip on your Tech Deck.

2) Get your hands on some skateboard grip tape. Use the crap that you cut off the corners of your skate when you replace the grip, or if you are poor like me you could use sand paper. If you want you can paint the grip tape funky colors with acrylic paint (apply a thin coat to avoid ruining the grip)

3) Stick that grip tape on there or if you used sand paper glue it with crazy glue or chewing gum or whatever.

4) Trim that grip tape up with scissors (or you could do this first. Personal preferance).
